MOTHERS' UNION

There is now a branch of the Mothers' Union in this Benefice with members in all three villages. The Mothers' Union is a Christian organisation, caring for families world-wide, with three million members and a headquarters at Mary Summer House in London.

Locally we meet once a month, every 3rd Thursday, alternate afternoons at 2.30pm and evenings at 7.45pm. Meetings are held usually at the home of one of our members. Our programme for this year is set out below. Anyone interested, please come and find out more about us and how we work.

December 15th Christmas through flowers. Mary Harris. 7.45pm Fresh Pastures, Strowlands, East Brent. Also 11.30am Deanery Cathedral Chapter prayers - Wells Cathedral followed by lunch.

January 19th Lunch at the Red Cow, Brent Knoll, 12.30pm

February 16th Post natal Illness - how we can help. Sarah Saxon. 7.45pm 8, Church Lane, Lympsham.

March 16th Communion Service and Members' Enrolment.

7.45pm St Christoper's, Lympsham

April 20th Discussion - Action and Outreach 2.15pm. Venue to be confirmed.

May 18th Jill Wright - Literacy and Development. 7.45pm. 1b, The Manor, Brent Knoll

June 15th 2.15pm Venue to be confirmed.

July 20th 7.45pm. To be arranged.

August 9th 2.15pm Mary Summer Day. Teddy Bears' Party at Brent Knoll - Deanery Event.
