Printer Cartridge Recycling

We have just sent off another box of used cartridges, thank you to all of you who continue to support this very EcoFriendly fundraising scheme.  I will let you know the new running total in the next issue.

Don’t throw your used printer cartridges away, put them in a bag and give them to a Parish Hall Committee member, we send them away to a company who re-use and recycle them and they give us a donation (the level of which depends on the type of cartridge). The best for us are; Canon, Hewlett Packard and LEXMARK, however all cartridges are either recycled or disposed of safely. 

Several people in the village now give us the used cartridges from their work and even get fellow staff members to bring them in from home as well. It costs them nothing (may even save your company money, if they have to pay for their rubbish to be collected) and benefits the whole planet ! If you know of anyone who uses printers at home or at work, please ask them to help our Parish Hall and the Environment by giving you their empty cartridges to be recycled.

Don’t forget that you are not only helping the Parish Hall by raising money, you are also helping to reduce the amount of waste going into the landfill at Dunball and thereby reducing the cost to the council tax payer, as did you know that there is a charge for every tonne of rubbish dumped in the land fill ?

So please help us and help yourself at the same time.
