Knoll Open Gardens 2007 LABURNUM
COTTAGE, MIDDLE STREET - I will
be opening my garden again this year for the National Gardens Scheme on Sunday
the 8th of July from 2 –
5.30pm.
For
those who were not able to visit last year, I have a collection of over 400
Hemerocallis varieties (Daylilies) which are very colourful and at their peak
during the first week of July. The garden is approximately half an acre, recently developed to display all the daylilies, which include many unusual form and spider type flowers. There will be several varieties available for sale. It is laid out in large, sweeping borders with mixed plantings of shrubs, perennials and many grasses. It is also a registered Hemerocallis Display Garden.

The
National Gardens Scheme is a charity which raises money by a making a small
charge for entrance to the garden, in this case, £2.50. 
There
will once again be excellent cream teas and home made cakes provided by Pauline
Lunn, which proved so popular last year that I’m not sure now who is coming
for the teas or to see the garden! The proceeds from the teas will go to her
charity for the mentally handicapped.
