Jazz on the Green 8pm SATURDAY 19th JULY

Pearce's Frenchman Street Jazz Band will be on stage at 8 pm on Saturday 19th
July, either on the Brent Knoll Village Green or, if the weather is inclement,
in the Parish Hall. The
band plays New Orleans style Jazz and is in fact named after a famous street in
The Crescent City. CHRIS
PEARCE, clarinet and saxophones leads the band, with ALAN BATEMAN, trumpet and
saxophones and PAUL MUNNERY, trombone completing the front line. The
rhythm section comprises RACHEL HAYWARD, guitar and banjo,TONY SHARP, double
bass and GRAHAM SMITH, drums. This
is the 12th Annual Jazz on the Green and we are looking forward to
another great evening’s entertainment, under the stars (or in the Hall if it's
wet!!!). This
event is always well attended so get your tickets early from Brent Knoll Post
Office or Ring 01278 760 986 or 760 760. Performance
starts at 8pm, but you are advised to get there well in time, to make sure you
get a good seat (you can bring your own chairs) and also to sample the local
brews on offer, before the rush! See
you on the Green at Brent Knoll. Tickets
are £7.50 adults and £ 4.00 kids under 14. There's
a licensed bar, serving local brews, a BBQ and Raffle.
