Broadband target reached

On Monday morning 12th Jan 2004, The www.broadband4brent.co.uk website showed that the trigger point of 200 registrations required by BT to have the Brent Knoll Exchange upgraded to Broadband

The four organisers of the campaign, Derek Almond, Steve Bagg, David Filmer and Tony Gore want to thank all those who registered and particularly those who collected details from friends and neighbours and e-mailed them. The campaign started on Saturday 3rd January  with a bulk delivery of a leaflet to over 700 houses and businesses in Brent Knoll and East Brent. "The response surprised us all, so within just 9 days, together, we got there!" said David Filmer

"We started with a further 121 registrations required to meet the 200 target. A total of 205 sets of details were entered on behalf of villagers in Brent Knoll and East Brent, besides those that were entered by applicants direct to BT via our website. As it takes about 4-5 days for the details to be verified and checked for duplications by BT, we expect the numbers to rise well above the target in the next few days."
