These were placed before members of the Parish Council. Version 2 of the draft
which highlighted two matters for discussion.
Grants to St Michaels Church
for the grass cutting contract
refurbishment budget for public conveniences.
the Clerk produced a new contract received from the PCC of St Michaels
Church
which has increased to £3500. per annum. The previous contractor has
failed to
complete the work and a new contractor has been appointed. The meeting
unanimously agreed to make the full grant with proviso
that the PCC ensure that
the work is carried out to a required standard and is reviewed regularly.
The public toilets need
updating in the new year and some budget has been set
aside from this years budgets but a further sum of £1,000.00 should be
allocated
to next years expenditure to ensure that the work is completed. £500.00
had been
proposed in the draft. The new total of £1500.00 was agreed unanimously
in the
new budget.
having
looked at all of the proposals and budgets a precept level for the year
2009/10 was agreed at £20,000.00. This level was unanimously accepted as
a
fair level taking into account a proper level of reserves set 50% of
expenditure
the members feel that a reduction of 30% in the precept level for this
year reflects its
continuous efforts to control costs to the village. 5.

informed of the notice of vacancy issued for a Parish
Councillor.
