NOTES FROM THE MEETINGS HELD ON 10 JANUARY AND 24 JANUARY 2005 VILLAGE
GREEN AND VILLAGE MAINTENANCE It
was agreed to defer a decision on the proposal to construct a pathway between
the Village Green entrance and the play equipment
pending the outcome of applications which were being made for grant
assistance towards the cost. (The
need for provision of such a path was identified following a Disability
Discrimination Act access audit carried out for the Council).
The Council agreed to place the contract for mowing the Green in 2005 and
reviewed the arrangements for the 2005 Village Maintenance contract, which has
also now been placed. The problem
of the condition of the shrubs near the gas box (which suffered from
over-zealous cutting back following a misunderstanding) was discussed and it was
noted that an offer to carry out any necessary restitution had been made. BUDGET
AND PRECEPT FOR 2005/6 The
2005/6 Budget proposals were discussed and it was agreed to set a precept of
£15,500 for the forthcoming financial year.
Full details of the budget will be available at the Annual Parish Meeting
and will be published on the Village Website in due course. PLANNING
